What did you talk about this week?

It’s that time of the week when I share some of the wide variety of topics of conversation that came up through work or play (I'll leave it to you to figure out which is which) in the course of life in a pink fibro.

Chickens, worms, compost, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, The Wire, Anzac Day, irritable bowel syndrome, guitar practice, sustainable schools, property investment, Avon, Enjo, sustainable schools, times tables, Stringer Bell, working mothers, books, rewriting, proposals, Little Ninjas, gymnastics, writing, blogging, KRudd, chair sniffing, leisurewear, bills, The Great Gatsby, roofing, plumbing, brainstorming, why Dinosaurs became extinct (I still prefer the Gary Larsen theory), shower curtains, an extra day at preschool, theories of marketing, party plan vs direct selling, Mr6's Attitoood…and how Mr3 grew up so fast.

What came up at your house this week?

  1. Hmm, you know I struggle with this every week, but I'm giving it a go. Airfares, flying, Lost, adoption, reunions, brothers, mothers, grandfathers, hip replacements, photography, book writing, marriage, dinner parties, landscapes, Newcastle, Dubbo, airport parking, car trouble, kind strangers, cruel friends, aspergers, Richard Branson, shaved heads, altruism, orphanages, Indonesia, possums, video cameras, bad customer service, tigers, palm oil, taronga zoo, telephones, daycare, lonely highways and happy endings.

  2. Um... house prices, the UK election, monetising my blog, small children shitting their pants unexpectedly, the tooth fairy's going rate for front teeth, Withnail And I, what the hell am I going to make for dinner, why my bum looks big in those trousers and, after sitting in a wet puddle on a chair, whether it was better to change into my pyjamas at 5pm or to walk around looking like someone who had just wet their pants.

  3. The pyjamas are always the superior option @TheNDM. No matter what time of day it is.

  4. Labor. And why I'm not in it. Ugh. (Thanks for distracting me from my discomfort with this lovely list.) =>
